WHY
During a group conversation on WhatsApp about getting fit and needing something to aim for, someone posted a link to the Race the Sun Brecon Beacons team challenge.
5 dads (it’s a 4-man team on the day, so we have backup!) looking for a goal to help them focus on getting fit…..
A great charity, Action Medical Research, looking for people to help raise money by taking part in a fantastic team event…
Minutes later it was booked, and it is happening!
BIKE
The route is 35 miles and split into two main sections. You’ll cycle along the Talybont valley before completing both the hike and kayak sections of the challenge, then its back on the bike to head back to Brecon and the finish line!
HIKE
With a total ascent of just under 700m, our circular 8-mile route starts in Tap Fechan Forest, taking in the mountain tops of Corn Du, Pen Y Fab and Cribyn
KAYAK
As a team you’ll take on the 2-mile course around Pontsticill Reservoir.
