We’re celebrating 5 years since Jordon joined Start Tech! When Jordon first joined as an Apprentice Technician in 2017, we were only a small team. Fast forward 5 years, we’re a team of 15, and Jordon is our Project Manager. A lot has changed over the last 5 years!
Let’s delve a bit more into Jordon’s journey…
What do you remember from your first day?
It feels so long ago it’s difficult to remember, I do know I was definitely nervous! I made my first round of coffees, spent the day getting to know all the team and learning all the different systems they used.
How has your job changed over the years?
When I first started as an apprentice, I had no experience in IT, there was a lot of learning, developing my skills and taking direction from the other members of the team. Since becoming Project Manager, my role has changed a lot, I now manage and lead the projects team and play a key part in helping the business grow.
What’s been your biggest achievement since working here?
I would say my personal biggest achievement since I started is leading one of the largest projects the company has done from start to finish. It was a huge milestone for me which allowed me to demonstrate all the things I’ve learnt since starting.
What’s your favourite part of the job?
There are few things! I like the variety of work, new challenges and getting to know & work with our clients. I also really enjoy the social aspect of the office; we all have a laugh in the office, and I enjoy working with the other passionate team members, it makes our business. I can’t forget to mention our Friday morning breakfast, I can’t remember a Friday without one!
What’s next?
I want to grow with the company, continue developing my role even further and help the company achieve the targets we’re aiming for. As a business, we have big and exciting plans for over the next couple of years, we’re growing our team and finding new ways we can support our clients. We want to become the most well-known, best-in-class MSP in Shropshire.
